Materials
Size G Hook or size needed
about 1 oz black WW yarn
small amount yellow WW yarn
Makes a 7 inch square

With Black, ch 5, join to create ring.

Rnd 1-Ch 3, 2 dc in ring,ch 2, (3 dc in ring, ch 2) three times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3.

Rnd 2-Ch 3,dc in next 2 dc,*(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch 2 sp,dc in next 3 dc, rep from * twice, rep between brakets once more, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3, finish off black.

Rnd 3- Join yellow w/ a sl st in any ch 2 sp, ch 1, *3 sc in sm sp, sc in next 2 sts, dtc in each of the 3dc of rnd 1,sc in last 2 sts, rep from * around, join in beg sc, finish off yellow.

Rnd 4- Join black w/ sl st in 2nd sc of any 3 sc corner, ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc in sm sp, dc in each st across(making sure to work through both thickness's of dtc and dc's behind it). * 2 dc, ch 2, 2dc in 2nd sc of 3 sc corner, dc in each st across, (making sure to work through both thickness's of dtc and dc's behind it) rep from * twice more, join w/ a sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3.

Rnd 5-Sl st in next dc and in next ch 2 sp, ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc in sm sp, dc in each dc across,* 2 dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch 2 sp, dc in each dc across, rep from * twice, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3, finish off black.

Rnd 6-Join yellow w/ a sl st in any ch 2 corner, ch 1, *3 sc in sm sp,sc in next 4sts,dtc around post of of dc directly below on rnd 4, sc in next 7 dc, dtc around post of dc directly below on rnd 4, sc in next 4 dc's, rep from * 3 times more, join in beg sc, finish off yellow.

Rnd 7-With black sl st in 2nd sc of any 3 sc corner, ch 3,dc, ch 2, 2 dc in sm sp, dc in each sc across,(making sure to work through both thickness's of dtc and dc's behind it) *2dc, ch 2, 2 dc in 2nd sc of 3 sc corner,dc in each sc across, (making sure to work through both thickness's of dtc and dc's behind it) rep from * twice more, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3, finish off weave in ends.
