Heat Wave

It has been in the 90+ for the last 11 days here. Today we hit 100. Phew! We have one more day for this 90+ weather to go and then we will start to cool off with the upper 80's.
Since it has been so hot out, we have pretty much hung out indoors in the cool air.
The picture above is a picture we took when we went to Pearson Falls. We had a great time there.



Here is Luckys idea of staying cool. Lay head on boot and roll over to sleep. Goofy boy :)

Who turned off the Air??

Phew!!! It has been hot here... And it is only getting hotter. We will be hitting 98 by Friday. Ouch!!! It looks like summer has made it to our place. I think I will be spending a lot of time in the house where it is cool.


I collected 4 fresh eggs today. I am so happy to see that are chickens are starting to lay eggs regularly now.Fresh eggs taste far better than store bought eggs.


Another one of my Tiger Lilys bloomed today. :) I love the Vibrant orange color of them.

There are only 3 more days of school for this year. Its hard to believe another school year is almost done. And now that Softball is over, not really sure what we will be doing. Does anyone have some fun summer plans this year? We are going to stay close to home this year. With the cost of gas, its hard to travel too far.

First Tomato

Yay! We have our first tomato. It is really small right now and green..... But still pretty exciting. Hopefully there will be plenty more tomatos soon.
It has been pretty hot here today. So we are planning to spend the afternoon indoors. (91+ out there today)
I plan to work on some more small projects before I get started on a new big project. I havn't decided what big project I would like to do though. I am thinking about a new afghan or a new shawl.
