Hello Monday!

 I know it has been awhile. It has been a tough week. Glad to finally be starting a new week. :)

I have not been spending much time on any of my crochet projects this past week. So above you can see a small amount of progress on the the Crazy Scraps Afghan. :) Not really sure how much bigger I will be making this one.

 I have picked up the Monster Afghan again, but no pictures to share yet. It is almost done. YAY!!!!!

We could really use it now as the temps have dropped. We have been dropping into the upper 20's lows 30's at night time. Although rumer is..... 70's during the day by midweek. Can we all say Cold and Flu Season. LOL! I can see it coming now. We are all going to catch a cold with these changes.

Took this picture of a tree outside my front window. The tree looked so pretty with all of its red leaves.

Over the weekend, the wind picked up and the leaves are pretty much gone. :( Its time to get out there and rake up the leaves. And we sure do have a lot of them to rake up. :)

Road Trip !!

This is only a small sample of all the pictures we took on our Road Trip. We had a really great day up in the mountains. Really enjoyed the changing leaves. :)

Windy Day

It has been a windy day here today. All the pretty leaves have fallen to the ground. It was a beautiful 70 degrees out there, but now that the sun has gone down, it is much cooler.

A beautiful Fall Day

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day here today. The rain hasn't made it yet. But should be here sometime tomorrow.

Mountains to the Sea Trail

Ok so Saturday we decided to head for the mountains. Its was the perfect time to see some of the beautiful fall colors. While up there, we decided to take what we had thought was going to be a short-to medium hike.



It was nice to see all the pretty leaves. :) And the weather was perfect. See the blue circle on the tree? That was a marker for our path we were going to take.



We went in the direction of the loop via the mountains.





A couple of pretty views that we saw.



From this point our markers turned white. There was another sign that pointed to the Devils Courthouse. We went in that direction. There wasn't a distance listed for us though. Hmmmmm How far from there would that be?????

We didn't make it to the Devils Courthouse. We walked around 2 miles before turning around and coming back. It was a fun walk.

When we got back to the starting point, we found out that it would have been around a 20 mile walk to the Devils Courthouse from that point. That would have been a long walk.
I will post some more pictures of the Fall colors later. We still have plenty more of the pretty colors seen on Blue Ridge Parkway.

New Colors

The fall colors are getting prettier everyday here. Here is a new picture of the driveway.

Road Trip!

We went on a wonderful day long road trip today. YAY! Went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to view all the pretty colors. Above you can see one of the pictures from our trip. There are far more pictures though. I will share more of them later and tell more about our hike on the trail "Mountains to the Sea trail"
