Snowflake

Snowflake was on the deck the other morning. He was standing there so proud and sure of himself. :) I just had to get a couple of shots of him there.

Oh Charlie

Charlie

This is Charlie. I found the pattern for him at Lion Brand Yarns.
He is made with a soft Acrylic yarn in purple, pea green, brick red and white.
I used a little bit of puffy pain to give him the black centers of his eyes.

Cold Days

Above you can see a picture of some recently finished dishcloths. Although those ones are not on my list of 27 to make. I thought it would be fun to make some in a pretty Christmas color.
The last few days here have been really cold. We had rain yesterday and last night. When we got up this morning, the front deck was all Icy. Poor Sean and Kyra went sliding down the deck.
(We have a ramp, instead of steps)
Its starting to look like I actully might have to pull out my winter coat soon. It is pretty cold in the mornings and evenings.
I have finished all my shopping for Thanksgiving. YAY! I can't imagine having to go shopping today or tomorrow. The stores will be packed. We will be having a Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner here. Hopfully my husband will be able to manage to come home. But as it looks now he will be stuck in NJ in his truck. :(

Baby Afghan, Peaches Pouches, Update on Hannah

Neapolitan Afghan

Here is an updated picture of the baby afghan. I switched it over to a round version. :) It is a little over halfway done now.

Peaches Pouches

These are more of the Pouches I am making for Amy. She uses a lot of them. :)

And now for Hannah. Its looking more likely that she will go East of us. We will still get some storms and rain from her, but nothing as serious as first thought. Right now she is still a tropical storm, but they expect she will be a cat 1 hurricane soon.Next on the list is Ike..... But they aren't really sure where he will be heading. A possable hit on Fla or if we are all lucky he will just turn and head back out into the Atlantic. Currant status on Ike is that he is a cat 4.

Rain, rain and more rain!

We have been receiving a lot of rain from TD Fay. Average rain here was 8-12 inches. It was nice to get some rain, but rough at the same time. A lot of people have lost there homes and cars due to all the rain. We were fortunate here to not have any damage. Although my road was a river earlier.
The picture above was from earlier this summer.

I will have some pictures of the baby sweater soon. I only have the last couple of rows to go on the sleeve. :) I also started the baby afghan which is 1/4th of the way done. I am making a regular ripple for the baby blanket.

This and That

Photobucket

I am still working on the baby sweater. I have the first sleeve halfwaty done. This pattern that I have been using has been pretty easy to follow. For those that crochet and may be interested I found it on Ebay. It is an original design by Rebecca Leigh
Here is a closer view showing the sleeve

We only have a few more days before school starts here. The kids go back on the 25th. They are looking forward to the start of the year. They have been really bored the last couple of weeks of summer. We have allready bought new school cloths and most of the basic supplies. I know when school actully starts I will still have more things to buy for them. It happens every year, even when they give you a list at the end of the year. They always find more things.

Sid
This is Mr Sid. He is such a ham. We adopted him from my SIL. She had several cats and Sid was stressing them all out. He loves to play, and chases our Lucky all over the house.

And yes, Mr Lucky is always laying around the house like that. Hes a very sweet cat. We found him a little over a year ago. The kids were doing a car wash for our youth group and saw him running around. He was just a little baby. He was really dirty and looked like he was more of a grey brown color when we first saw him. Now he is a pretty grey and white.
