Cold, Cold Cold!!

Someone has seriously pulled the plug on the heat here! No joke on that one either. We had noticed a huge increase in our electric bill, and the house was just not that warm. (The bill had tripeled from the previous month) So we called the Electric company to see if we could figure out what was wrong. We had just had our furnace seviced 2 months ago. They came out to look and guess what we found???? A hole in the door to get under the house. A cat had gotten in there and pulled down the duct work for the heat pump. So while we were freezing in the house, there were cats bathing in the heat under the house. Litterally, it was 70 degrees under the house. No wonder the floors have been so warm latly. Well, we fixed that hole, and the duct work. YAY! It is now nice and comfortable in the house. I am soo glad it is fixed now too as we are suppose to drop down to 5 degrees tonight. And that is not normal for us here. Way too cold for me. hope everyone else is staying nice and warm.

I finished the Toffee Lacy scarf. It is 3.5 inches wide and 59 inches long. I havn't decided what color I would like to do next yet. Before I get started on that, I have about 5 more orders to finish up in my shop. I am hoping to have them all done and ready to go on Tuesday. :)

Lazy Lucky

Jut sharing a cute photo of Mr Lucky. He is our lazy boy. He loves shoes. You can almost always find him laying on someones shoes here. Goofy cat. :)

Tropical Humidity

That is what our local weatherman has called it. I just call it sticky mess. You know the type of weather that just makes your hair curl. Bad hair day here we come. LOL! Atleast we have a nice little breeze out there. There are some storms heading our way later this afternoon.
I went for a short walk this morning. Our driveway/road to the street is a 1/4 of a mile. So it is pretty easy to walk atleast a 1/2 mile everyday just to get the mail. :) On my way to the mailbox today, I spotted some beautiful flowers. So I just had to take pictures.

This part is our actual driveway. You can't see our vehicle, because you have too turn to the right at the end. We have trees lined up on both sides of our driveway. In the fall it is beautiful with all the colors. I can't wait to get some new photos then. :)




Here is our Excape Artist Levi. He is a Lab/pointer mix. He is actully quite smart. He has a nice large fenced in yard to play in. BUT!!!! He won't stay in it. He climbs/jumps the fence and trys to bug everyone and everything within a one mile radious. LOL! He LOVES to chase the goats and chickens around. (The fence is 5 feet high)



And here is Jonah. He is our outdoor kitty. He was enjoying the little bit of sun that we had earlier this morning.

Round Ripple Afghans

Yeah!!! Another Round Ripple is finished. This one is a baby RR. This one measures 43 inches from tip to tip.

Magic Ball Crochet and a new Kitty!

I have been saving scraps of yarn for a long time. I am talking about short little pieces only a few inches long and some a little longer. I saw a really pretty bag made using a magic ball. So I knew that I really wanted one after seeing that. They are so unique looking. So here is the start to my Magic Ball bag.




Last weekend we got a new cat. His name is Sid. He is about 10 months old. He is a little bit scared right now. But he is slowly coming around. He dosn't care much for the kids yet. But he comes out to play when they aren't around. We will have to work on that. The kids can't wait to play with him. So we are trying to introduce them to him one at a time. These pictures are really dark, but it is all I have of him right now.

New Additions at our house

We have adopted two new additions here at our house. We have 2 new kitties. Although they are older they are still sweet. There names are Tabbie and Calie.
